Rosalie Bradford was a self proclaimed 'food-a-holic', being abandoned by her mother at a young age, and then dealing with the death of her foster mother at the age of 12. As she grew up, her food obsession continued to be a problem for her. In her 20's she got married and had a son, but she continued to find it very hard to lose weight. She continued to be depressed about her weight and became bedridden, eventually trying to commit suicide with painkillers. At this time, she was the fattest woman in the world and weighed 1, 199 pounds.
